The Institute for Financial Studies fosters and pushes forward activities, whose goal is more informational or disseminative than strictly educational. Among others:

- Technical days. The IEF organises at least three technical days linked to topical financial issues each year. It also collaborates in other days and conferences on third-party initiative. Each year the IEF organises the Day on Quantitative and Financial Methods, the Day on Markets and Financial Risks, the Day on Currency and Exchange Risks, all of which are already traditional in the financial sector of Barcelona and which are highly attended by professionals.

- Articles and contributions in media . Professionals from the IEF regularly participate in TV and radio programmes, and contribute to written media, both via punctual participations and via studies and articles.

- Training / information to specific groups such as members of boards of directors, university students, members of professional associations and in general people not directly linked to finances from the strict perspective of their professional activity . Activities that provide information to help understand basic financial aspects are prepared.
